06 GSXR 750 lower case

Anybody know if you can pull the motor out and only replace the lower case without disassembling the head and most the internals. water pump was hit and broke case where pump goes into the motor. Have a guy that can tig weld it but im not sure if i trust that and really dont want to take the entire motor apart.

Nope......its worst case right there. Chain snaps and takes out the motor. Just get another motor....not worth fixing.

Yup.....then why you asking? and motors can be had for 4-600 BTW...and NO its still FUCKED, but have at it.. you will eventually have to get a motor either way.. but and no matter what your welder says or charges you its just gonna leak or fail

Got it welded and used some right stuff over the oring around the water pump. Hasnt leaked yet. Going to rebuild motor over winter. Will let you know if your wrong or right when that happens.

Re: 06 GSXR 750 lower case

Found out you cannot replace only lower case because the cases are line bored which is when they bolt the cases together and bore the line for the crank. So now its either replace both cases and in doing so buying the bearing set to find out which color/size bearings you need for the new case or just replace the motor. fml.
