Hello,My friend's got an 03 954 that he's owned since new 33000miles on it.Its been acting up lately and a few days ago it wouldnt start.I havent looked at the bike but will be having a look at it over the weekend.He thinks the HISS immobiliser system is the culprit-Gas in the tank,pump is priming,bike is in neutral,clutch pulled and battery is good,He has tried all the keys and still nothing-This is what he tould me on the phone. My question is has anybody ever removed the HISS system like for a trackbike/stuntbike for example and if so what is involved in removing it.Thanks in advance.Lloyd.

 

Had a look at the bike.Turns out he had a META aftermarket alarm fitted a few years back and took it out saturday.Problem solved,Bike runs fine now.Moral of story-Aftermarket alarms are BAD news when there is already an alarm/immobiliser system on the bike(HISS).
On a second note what doe all you guys do with honda track bikes-Do you remove the HISS system?
