I did some LOOONG wheelies on a quad and now I got some ?s
About 3 days ago I baught my g/f a quad cause she really wanted one and also to get her used to shifting and handlebar steering so she can move on to bikes. Anyhow, today, I tried to wheelie this little thing (2004 Honda sportrax 90) and well, getting it to pop up was REAL easy. Then I started getting it so high that I had to use the rear brake to keep from flipping it. By the end of today, I could bounce it up from a dead stop, use the brake to stop the flip, and feather the throttle well enough to wheelie it at balance at about 10 or 15 mph for well over 100 feet. Yeah I ate **** a couple of times lol. So I am very proub of my 'ol fat self! But my question is, how different is the balancing and breaking gonna be on my 99 f4? I mean, at first, getting that quad even a foot up felt like I was gonna flip. By the end of the day it was: how high and slow can I go THIS time! Do ya'll think that the bike will not seem so wheelie scary now? I will try it tomorow but im just lookin for any imput prior lol. After all, the quad hit the stop bar at 12 and was fine, if my f4 hits its tail...................
try it and see what happens.. I doubt doing wheelies on a sportrax will help too much on the F4, but give it a go
yeah, thats my thing, I hoping to be more confident learning because I will be used to using a rear brake for hight controll. Unfortunatly, I went to practice today and still cant even get the front up more than a foot on the f4
Sucks how they are so damn different. Only thing quads helped me with was the use of rear brake. Other than that nothing really. I just notice I have no fear on a quad, chance of serious injury seem alot less. Good luck though.
Injury i thought the same damn thing, until i was doing an L wheelie came down wrong lost my footing and the quad tipped and gave me the worst dead leg ever. i mean lasted for 2 weeks and did nerve dmg, have little feeling in my thigh lol. it can hurt ya!
