FML i dunno what the hell i did this time

Alright have a feelin somethin bad happened to my ride today hopin for some help on what it might be.... so here is the explanation of what went down.... started bike after talkin to a buddy, bike temp was around 130 took off slowly up to stop light, bike made a horrible clicking sound (sounded like maybe what a starter would sound like on a car if it went bad) then the bike died, tried to start it and it sounded like what it would if ur batt was dead.... hopin somethin just came loose on the Batt. wonderin if ne one else had this prob? oh yea its a 2000 R6

Re: FML i dunno what the hell i did this time

its cool, so i took a look at it today and followed the sound... i think i may have narrowed it down to what it is but im not sure what the object is called (just switched from DB to sportbike n not used to the wiring yet) all the wires seem to be intack and fuses are good to go im curious if i may need a new battery? i got to lookin and it seems its stock battery could this be the issue?

wires are good to go even cleaned the batt. cables up a bit the clickin noise seems to be coming from a black box that (not the batt lol) that is attached to batter with a pos and neg there is two 30amp fuses and a 4 prong plug that all go into this "lil black box"

Re: FML i dunno what the hell i did this time

turns out its none of the above changed battery and all still nothing took it to my mechanic and turns out the odds are it jumped time and bad things happened... in the process of terring into the engine r6 engine is a "contact" engine correct? this just helps me narrow it down before i get to the guts
