Chain adjustment problem

I posted this in the for sale section by accident but anyway my problem is that i just want to change the gearing (14-60) on my bike (06 636) to a more streetable 15-49 setup but i cant seem to get the chain to work out with the 15-49, its either way too tight or then when i take off a link off its too loose and their isnt enough adjustment on the chain adjusters to take up the slack.
I noticed that the stock adjusters only move back about 15 or 20 mil and then they wont go any further even though there's about another 20 mil to go before the axel hits the end of the swingarm, so im wondering would a good set of chain adjusters sort this? It adjusts up perfect with the 14 front on but just not with the 15 and thats the one i want on it. Any ideas...

Re: Chain adjustment problem

something must be up with your chain adjusters

Your doing this with the rear tire off the ground right?

The chain adjusters should give you more then enough adjustment
