F4i transmission

Ive heard you can put the motor up side down and access the gears right there. The manual says to take the entire engine apart completeley. Anyone who has done transmission work on the f4i let me know. Thanks

Re: F4i transmission

So im sitting here studying the manual... why does the head need to come off? I was hoping i wasent going to have to touch that. Cant you just flip the motor, remove the case covers and split it?

Re: F4i transmission

you have to take the motor apart, including the head, to split the case.
