636 fuelpump trouble

My 636 03 won't start.
I can't hear the fuelpump making the bieping sound when the ignition is turned on.

I've tried a good tank from another 636 but that didnt work either.

When i try to start it, cranking the engine, the FI injecion warning light flashes.

What could it be??????

Thnx for any advice possible.

Re: 636 fuelpump trouble

je gashuiskleppen e.d bewegen wel gewoon?.. of ook niet.. aangezien je andere tank gestest hebt lijkt het me niet dat je pomp stuk is?

Re: 636 fuelpump trouble

ok 1st of all it might sound silly but check your ignition switch at the barrel.
the 2 red ones should read 12v (using a multimeter tester) and most importantly check the white or grey (can't remember really but is the last one at the back) and that should read 5v (chances you find it disconnected)
and these test obviously by turning the ignition on and try stat the bitch.

if the problem isn't there, you will need to check all your immobilisers i,e side stand, tilt sensor, nuetral...
and if all fine, then
the ignition pick up,
check crank shaft sensor, (voltage and resistance)
check the camshaft sensor,(voltage and resistance)
check all your connections, wiring loom...
also worth to do a self diagnosis mode

ps: it sounds bullshit but that's what happened to mine couple of weeks back and the problem was the wire disconnected

i agree with this but start with the simple things... check all fuses... including the one in the little white casing behind the relays, thats prolly what it is

Re: 636 fuelpump trouble

we checked the fuses, but the pump just not work. but the pump is not the issue becouse he aint getting voltage. how to do a self diagnoses mode? i now that it can from my gixxer, but is it possible on a 636? and how?
and @ laurens
secundaire gasklep beweegt gewoon als je het contact aanzet. dus daar ligt het niet aan, is puur de aansturing van de pomp die er niet is.. dat zelf diagnoses is mooi man, zelf tps enzo afstellen moet allemaal kunnen

self diagnosis mode

ok to make sure if the fuel pump works or not, if you know how to use a probe, you ll need to feed current to the brown fuel pump plug forgot which color wire) the if it primes the problem isn't in the pump.

could you check if there is spark or not, let me know

ps: for the self diagnosis you can use any wire as long as there is contact to the frame and the yellow plug on the right hand side of your battery

Re: 636 fuelpump trouble

ey,

Well if tried alot for the past days. Swapped out alot of parts with another 636. Relais, tank, pump and the (don't excactly know how its called) voltageregulator.
My fualpump works fine.
I have got a spark.
The problem is that the fuelpump is not getting enough energy.
I've(manually) checked kill switch, neutral thingy, clutch thingy, kick stand thingy.
All the fuses ar absolutly fine. The ones in the big black box, the ones in the white stashed behinh the big black box. And the one Fuse Arjan found in that little black box connected to the

I've I ground my meter *** usual for measuring stuff en then touch 1 of the wires going into the relias from the bike I can hear the fualpump arming itself. But because in this way i'm bypassing the relais it builds pressure infenitly and the bike still doesn't start.

I''m running out of ideas. And getting slightly anoid...

sorry for the late reply. stuntlife was acting up, could get on.

Thnx for the diagnostic stuff. If I still have my sanity ill try this in the afternoon.
