Fork Seal Fairy

So my bike has been sitting in my garage for about 4-5 months (long winter). Out of nowhere BOTH my fork seals are leaking like mad... what the ****!? I mean its pretty dry where I am but, is it possible BOTH seals cracked? anyone else heard of this problem? solution, beside the obvious?

Re: Fork Seal Fairy

What bike is this on, how many miles, how old?

Bushings get worn from riding after 10-15k+ miles, and also dirt helps to blow fork seals out

Re: Fork Seal Fairy

The bike is a 600rr, the seals were replaced middle of last season and should still have lots of life. The bike was in a heated garage and would only move 10ft. pushing it. I guess a drastic temp. change when the garage was opened may have caused it? I dont think the bushings could blow the seals without movment of the forks, right?

Re: Fork Seal Fairy

No idea why they would blow out, unless they were installed wrong..

I'm selling a 41mm Fork seal driver which would fit your bike if you have USD forks. It makes replacing fork seals a breeze. Let me know.
