new sprockets please help

Hey guys,
My sprocket kit came in the mail today. its like a -1 +10 or 11.
I've never changed sprockets before and i don't have a bike stand....
any ideas for a makeshift bike stand so i can get my sprockets on this afternoon

lol. can i just put a jack under the swingarm and stuff? cause i know itll **** up the fairings if i use a regular cruiser bike lift on it...........

before you do anything, remove the bolt holding on the front sprocket.. Don't take the chain off don't do anything..

To change the front sprocket, put a 2x4 or piece of steel through the rear wheel, and break it loose with the bike in neutral

Once the front sprocket is changed, do whatever you want to lift the bike. I like to use a car jack under the suspension linkage so the bike is standing on hte kick stand, front wheel, and a jack.. And somtimes I'll use ratchet straps to strap the subframe to the garage ceiling

thanks dude....ill give that a shot......is it like an all day thing? or is it something i can do in a couple of hours? im trying to figure out if i can get it done tonight or if i shud wait for my day off tomorrow.

Should take you an hour if youve never done it before. Maybe 2 since you dont got bike stands and never did it before

thanks for the help guys...maybe ill give it a shot tonight...i dunno..its gonna be a cold ride from my parents house to my place...and 30 miles on the highway with a plus 10 sprocket might not be a lot of fun the first time

The only hard part is removing that front sprocket... Once that's off its a hour job at most

Expect to use a breaker bar, with a cheater bar to get it off!

i got the old sprockets off and the new ones back on..just gotta put the chain on
