headlight on quad
i got a 86 suzuki tl230 and the headlight bulb was gone out of it so i just put it on the volt meter and i didnt get a thing all the switchs are right and the tail light works i tryed to jimmy rig a tractor light to the tail light and it puts off almost nothing for light and when you hit the gas it gets dimer. sorry if this is hard to understand i ahve been up for 22 hours trying to get this thing working right
Re: headlight on quad
yes on a quad or snowmobile or something like that it will dim a little bit no matter what, but if it's ALOT then check that
Re: headlight on quad
use a multimeter..
You should get 12v with the quad off, 13v+ with the quad running.. And your volts should go up when you rev it up not down..
Also how many watts is this 'tractor light'.. When I picture a tractor light I picture big high powered lights.
A quad, especially an old one, isn't gonna have much extra power for accessories.. I'd say 55-110watts MAX
