hey ladies and gents, i followed the F4I, clean air mod directions but my bike is a banana seater YZY600r, one single PCV pipe from the crankcase to the airbox, sit the bike on the 12 and it hydrolocks in a hurry.

because it's only one pipe, how do you gear up a vent and a auxilary tube to let the oil drain back to the crankcase???? if you don't vent,it will blow seals out. heard of the catch can, and thats easy to set up, what are the options??? oh yea, I'm a lisenced mechanic so don't dumb it out..i'm all good

 

Some guys use a small air filter and plug the airbox

 

yea but the PCV hose and crank pressure on a 12 makes the oil sluge up the PCV hose...so yea the oil won't enter the airbox or hydrolock the bitch but then the oil will come out the filter....i may just drill a bung onto my valve cover so the oil just enters the engine on the top end and just helps oil the cams... all i can think of.....

there gotta be a way to route the oil back but have the pressue of the crankcase vented.

 

Back in my R6 days i plugged the original vent and put one on the valve cover like you said. No issues.

 

clean air mod is a must, i seen 3 people in person grenade motors cuz they didnt have clean air mod done

 

thanks both of yas, i rarely get oil into the breather but i have locked it up twice in two years so....gotta do something....vent to valve cover....all good thanks!
