Help with Moose E-Z pull clutch...
Help with Moose E-Z pull clutch...
Recently I hurt my left hand in a dirt bike accident, and it makes it very difficult for me to pull in the clutch on my 2006 R6. I decided to try a Moose E-Z pull clutch system. Now I'm not very mechanically inclined, but I'm also not a retard. I had a hell of a time trying to get this thing to work on my bike.
I know it's supposed to go in-line with the existing clutch lever, but I found it very difficult to get it in-line due to the amount of extra clutch cable left over. Once I finally did get it on and installed, the ease of the pull was not much different over stock. I had the pin on the easiest setting and the pull was only a small amount easier. Also, I don't think it was fully engaging the clutch when the lever was pulled all the way in as the bike started pullng slightly when put in first gear, and finding neutral was next to impossible. I tried adjusting the settings on the Moose, but it only made the pull even harder to make, and didn't fix any of the problems.
I ended up taking the Moose off and putting the bike back to normal. I know the Moose is a universal part, so is it possible that the R6 is just not a bike that it fits properly on? Did I possibly do something wrong?
Any help is appreciated.

Re: Help with Moose E-Z pull clutch...
i does take a little tweaking. i thought i had it at its softest setting but my friend whose been stunting longer than me rode my bike and adjusted it for me. got alot easier.
just noticed it sometimes get harder to pull after a while. he told me that the adjuster sometimes loosens so gotta readjust ever so often.
