Re: handbrake w/hohey

Empty a small clear water bottle. Put a few inches of brake fluid in the bottle, then run a hose from the bleeder screw, into the water bottle. Make sure the end of the hose stays submergered in the brake fluid. Open the bleeder screw. Now, fill your resivoir with brake fluid and start pumping your brake. (Make sure it stays full, or you will suck air into the line.) It may take a while to get going, especially with such a long line. You will see a lot of bubbles going into your water bottle from the air in the line being forced out. Keep pumping until clean fluid is coming out of the hose with no bubbles, and re-tighten your bleeder.

The first time I did my handbrake, it took way longer than I expected. Jusy keep pumpin.

have you tried bleeding it right side up?

also if you grind down where the 2 screw holes you will get a tighter set up with the clutch and hb

look at the shiny portion circled its the back tab on the hb

Re: handbrake w/hohey

go buy yourself a mighty vac... save you a whole bunch of time an effort, an best thing about it, its portable.. cause its a hand pump vac... you can also force fluid in if you reverse the hoses... never had to do it but also an option.....
