i have a tank i am throwing on my f4i and my tank that's on the bike right now is full of gas whats the best way to get the gas out and transfer it to the new one ?

go to a auto shop and get a sifin for like 5 bucks...

 

first step would be to drop a match in the tank to evaluate how much fuel is actually in there.

 

*** in that case ill do it haha just was thinking if there was a easy way with out drinking it lol

 

 

why are you using the banging head smiley? Are you frustrated that you didn't think of that first?

 

no I didn't want to blow my house up but there is a lot of fuel in there I want to save it .

 

take the tank off the bike


pop the 10mm fuel pump screws off the bottom, and the gas will run out the bottom


Thats the only way your gonna get almost all the fuel out of it



But if your just transfering it to another bike, why drain the fuel? I NEVER drained mine until the day I had to have it welded

 

Yea, Just transfer the tank and clap the lines.


Gas out...I use the vent hose off the bottom of tank
and cypher. Sometimes i get a mouthfull of gas.

 

Aye ya forgot to mention clamp the lines

I personally use C-clamps, and just clamp the main fuel line and pinch it ALL the way down before I remove the fuel line

then all that comes out is the gas left in the line and throttle bodies
