tensioner? knocks on idle,after a burn out , it started...how do u replace it? should i get the manual one?

this is some bull ****,i wanted to ride this week end,its been wrecked like a ****,i knew it was not gonna last much longer..ill just keep riding it

 

sounds like a spun rod bearing causing the rod knock,its days are numbered.

 

possable it could be a broken valve

 

it sounds like a rod it happened to my 240sx started a couple miles from my crib when i got there blew my motor as soon as i was pulling up to my crib at least i got to my crib wouldnt ride around like that would be a nasty mousetrap mid wheelie and you blow your **** that would **** some **** up

 

im taking the motor out and opening it...lets say its a rod knock,is it worth fixing it? or get another motor?

 

not worth fixing at all homie taking it apart getting the **** you need the labor all that your better off just getting another motor or a f4i lol

let me add that when i rev it the knocking dose not get louder,it seems to quiet down u cant even hear it anymore,then when the rpms drop it comes back..

 

mayb you cant hear it as much over the revs ?

 

i dont think that the case,when it started the rpms drop really quick cuz i was shifting gears thru the burnout,when the rpms droped i heard loud *** knock,and i still think when the rpms drop it starts knocking...ill have to do more testing tomorrow before i take it apart..

 

i did get another cam chain tensioner but it was also used..could be bad also

I bet it's your clutch basket. Buddy of mine has a 07 r6s and same exact thing. We tore that thing apart and found it to be clutch basket. The springs get weak (on the clutch basket) or there might be one broken. Take the clutches out and the clutch basket out, and start the engine. The noise should be gone. Let me know.

when i spin the clutch by hand theres a weird noise,i took out the plats,ill take another video..im not sure if its normal

 

Make sure to take the clutch basket completely out, just leave the transmission shaft by itself. Try that and see if it still knocks. With my buddys it knocks loud, but when he goes down the road and floors it, it goes away.
