f4i master fuse and relay issues?
i put a new wiring harness on my bike and spent hours crimping special connectors for the tip sensor n ****, went through the whole bike, every hose clamp, really got this thing dialed in. this problem never ever happened with the old harness, i just put a new one on because its minty and thers no cut wires now or jerryrigged ****.
the terminals for the starter relay were bumping the frame creating a ground/short circuit. and i could smell something plastic burning. it blew the master fuse so i zip tied this thing and now it dont touch the frame, i also got a new relay off ebay and put it on there. i broke down on the side of the road is what happened. okay so now this morning i fire it up, runs great, kick it into gear and it blew that fuse again. there is a wire that has a 20 amp fuse which feeds the fuse box, and theres a 30 amp fuse in the starter relay which basically comes off the + battery and controls all the power to the bike. i put new fuses in it and they keep blowing. none of the little 10 amp fuses in the fuse box blew. so i'm thinking the problem has to be specific to the main power of the bike? starter, starter switch, stator, voltage regulator, rectifier? but i cant figure out what. i took the tank and fairings off just to do a quick inspection and couldnt find any melted wires. i'll probly have to tear into it all out tonite, but does anybody have any ideas as to what my problem may be?

Re: f4i master fuse and relay issues?
whoa! nevermind. found it. the mini wiring harness that branches off the main one goes to the ignition key switch. well instead of having that **** routed like stock infront of the airbox i have it going infront of the motor and then up and underneath the triple tree, which is way better because its not like they give you alot of slack, and then i have all my turn signal wires and **** routed perfect!
well, not so perfect cause that **** was touchin the headers and melted into a ****** blob!
on, off, run, start, that **** is all melted together as one circuit! LOL. not good.
well theres goes 10 bucks i spent on a relay i didnt need, but ya know i shook it and being theres an electromagnet inside there its only supposed to engage when energized, so if it rattles around i was assuming it was faulty,
