EZ pull question(s)

kinda dumb, but were the ez pulls (moose in this case) designed for off road? I see them in the parts unlimited catalog at my local dealer, and i'm getting a good deal on one, but i just want to make sure before i order that it will work on my 636. I see some models with the compression release, and some that say "2-stroke" models, can i assume i need a 2 stroke version because of the lack of pressure release? thanks a lot!

also, after puttin one on my f4i, it seems like its a bitch to make sure the clutch engages fully, and that when pulled, doesnt let the clutch drag... is this pretty normal? i THINK i have it right, but it took me a while!

Re: EZ pull question(s)

Yeah they are actually for dirtbikes however they can be used on any bike, just get one without the compression release. They always were kind of hard to adjust to me and I can't ever feel the clutch slip like with the stock perch. But they are awesome though

Re: EZ pull question(s)

i bought my msr off a db site. it works fine on my 636. the clutch was hella hard to pull till i got it. it ate a cable already but its worth it. i had to throw out the adjuster because it kept tightening itself with each pull. could prolly jb weld it to a comfortable setting but it doesnt have the same feel.

Re: EZ pull question(s)

Good to know, i'll mark my clutch adjuster with a magic marker and see if it wants to move. i had heard about the levers eating cables, so i put a new cable on when i put the lever on. bike has 20k on it, i figured it prolly needed it anyway.
