I just bought a whole new front fork setup for my 2003 R6 but the forks I bought are off an 2004 R6. Everything hooked up just like normal except for the calipers... Im off about a 1/4 inch and cant get them to line back up so I can bolt them back... Im kinda lost on what else to check for and do... Are there different part numbers for the 03 compared to the 04? Do I need to buy 04 calipers? Ill try and get some pics up today or tomorrow so you can see where Im hung up at... Thanks

I had almost the same problem, My calipers would not make it to the mounting bracket, The calipers itself was not deep enough for the bolts to line up, (hitting of the rotor) So i had to buy the calipers that matched the forks, Sounds like u are having the same problem, not sure if they are diffrent in years, but they just might of made a small change from 03 to 04, It sucks but thats a way they get u to spend ur $$$$$$

 

sounds like your wheel is on backwards. try flipping it around and try it then. seriously.
