Sick innovations cage install help. (ZZR600)

How would I go about doing this? It looks like I'll have to use the bolt that holds my swingarm on, and I totally don't want to screw anything up as it's my only bike right now.

Any help on the subject matter would be appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Re: Sick innovations cage install help. (ZZR600)

i didnt know they made one for that bike..

but you slide the allthread that comes with the cage through the pivot bolt and put a nut on either side.... then bolt up everything but leave all the bolts loose untill you have everything lined up then tighten them

What am I supposed to do with my coolant reservoir? Relocate it? It's covering the left side motor mount that I need to bolt the cage to.

are you sure you didnt purchase a 99-02 ZX6 cage? cause the bikes may look the same, but the mounting points are not. Until now i didnt think anyone made anything for the ZZR...

Re: Sick innovations cage install help. (ZZR600)

It is 100% the same bike. The motor mounts ARE THE SAME. I had this bike and had a 98-00 ZX6R cage on it. You will have to either relocate the coolant resevoir or buy a new one and mount it somewhere else, because it is in the way of the motor mount. As far as the swing arm "bolt", it isn't a bolt, it's a long rod that will be replaced by a new one from SI. You will also have to make 2 holes on each side of the fairing. If you have any more questions, just ask. I had a 2005 ZZR600. It is the same bike as 2000-2002 ZX6R.

On a side note, I had all kinds of zx6r parts on my zzr600. -1 +10 sprocket combo, si cage, si 12 o'clock bar, speedohealer, flush mounts, fender eliminator, etc.
