f4i cam chain tensioner

f4i cam chain tensioner

bike was rattling put ape maual cct on rattle went away when I checked it on the bike stand. when I do a 2nd gear wheelie I hear it start to rattle. I tighten it up one turn after it stopped rattling when I put it on. do I need to tighten it more. don't want to get it to tight. thanks for any help.

warm the bike up back the tensioner out (while the bike is running) until you hear the chain slap then run it in until you cant hear the noise. turn in another 1/4 to 3/8 of a turn more in and tighten lock nut.

i put a mark from the tensioner lock nut and body of the cct i always get paranoid its going to back out...

thats just how i do it...

one full turn after the noise stopped may be too tight , i usually go 1/4 turn
