working on getting an 89 zx7 running so my girl can ride it.

carbs came dis-assembled with the bike /sigh

Put them together and took the carbs it had on it off since it ran like **** with them on it. after solving a lot of other issues I've got the bike to run great once I get it started, but it won't start without starting fluid, well actually without me using carb cleaner as starting fluid.

does that dinosoar have a fuel pump? or diaphram pump in the carbs? checked the vaccuum lines?

thats most likely ur problem. just in case, have u made sure the fuel pump is working right?
