starts and idles fine, i usaully let it run for a few then jump on, few minutes later it stalls out and will berley start and stay running.

charging voltage is good when first started then after stall it drops to under 12.

replaced the stator, idle felt real strong n good charging voltage. rode it for 15 min then stall again and back to the same problem.

im lost, please help fella's.

 

I have the same problem, though I have not verified the voltage. I can start it up, and run it for less than 2 minutes and then it stalls. I have to check the regulator, and then the whole wiring harness for grounds. :S
Does your temp gauge act strangely?

your voltage regulator is bad.

your speedo or lights will usually start diming at the same time before the bike dies at least when the voltage regulator starts going bad.

 

also check the magneto if there is no short

 

I ran the voltmeter on the battery. At rest it's high 13's. Running it's 14.4 - towards 5000 not sure what it does because I can't keep it running long enough. I don't think it's the RR. Even cleaned the connector and used the gel. Still fouls plugs and won't run. I'm so fed up with this thing. ANYTHING with carbs I can do - but this is just making me crazy. It throws no codes, burns no fuses, runs great ONCE a day. THen it's rich and won't start. Totally confused.
