I *think* there is a screw on the left side of the throttlebodies that you can adjust the idle with. It might be in another location. I am actually having to work on one tonight so I will let you know for sure where its at. If my camera isnt dead I will post a pic. But I am pretty sure its on the left side of the tbodies right under the tank.
o.k. heres what ya do. go to like a home depot and get some drain snake(thin but strong spring like ****)its like 5 bucks for 15 feet. take off your tank and find the idle adjust screw. cut off about 1 foot worth of sring off and take the screw out. weld the screw to the spring(the spring fits right in the head of the screw for this).after that you will have to put the srew back in,but now your gonna have a device like a 900rr idle adjust. then from there cut in your plastics as needed to acess the spring easily,i also cut a little mounting bracket with 2 holes about 4 inches apart on a 1 inch wide peace of aluminum and mounted it to where the coolant overflow bottle is located with one hole and put the spring through the other hole. it works nicely. if you need pics let me know .i would only have to take them then post them.
lata,
mike.
p.s.
or you could just get an old style choke for a gixx and hook that up,but my way is cheaper,if you have the tools

yeah, there is a thumbscrew on the left side of the tbodies. You have to lift up the tank to adjust. ZANNMANN has a good idea though. Whenever I switch motors now, I just keep the 01 throttlebodies and wiring harness cause you can just use the little choke lever.
