Clutch Switch Override

Got an 04 1000 gsxr, wanna override my clutch switch so i dont have to pull it in everytime i wanna start my bike but leave the neutral safety switch. i cliped one of the wires coming from the switch and the bike wont start. re-connected it and pulled the clutch it and it started; leading me to believe the switch is allowing current to go through it when its pressed. so can i snip both wires coming from my clutch, splice em together and be done with it or can they not be continuously connected like that? dont wanna fry anything having the wires connected 24/7
