3rd gear wheelie on a 600
3rd gear wheelie on a 600
Can a F4i be clutched up in 3rd gear or possibly even bounced up.
I'm down only one tooth in front. Think its possible, how fast shoulld i be going.

im no super expert in stuntin but i know its possible.... my 97 GSXR600 w/ -1 and +3 can bounce 3rd gear but i go pretty fast and bounce it,............... after it comes up to a certain point it shoots up fast so be careful..
I used to pull my stock GSXR 600 up with a little bounce in 4th (sometimes 5th if the weather was right) with 1 down in front. You have to be hauling butt, which is the reason I don't do it anymore.

I have a 1992 cbr600 and i was wondering if it is normal for it to power up in first? cuz i am just riding it hard and not trying to wheelie or anything and the front tire is bouncing all over the place trying to come up. i was thinking of going 1 down up front and 2 up in the back, but if i'm not careful and i ride it too hard, is it gonna wanna pull a wheelie all the time being geared so low? thanks. oh and to relate to the thread, is anything made before 1999 not going to be able to clutch up in third?
it's simple really. we are talking about the # of teeth on our sprockets. when we go up a few teeth (from the stock size) in the back (rear sprocket), then it makes the bike quicker off the line. or more torquier (sp?) some would say. it makes it easier to do slow wheelie and such. and by going down a few sprocket teeth from the stock size in front it does the same thing. only i think it is like the same as going up 3 in the back for every one you go up in the front. i pretty sure this is a good description if not someone correct me.
Jesus! I've never really been able to bring wheelies up beyond first gear on my F3. I've been trying second lately, hopefully I'll start getting them down. What the hell are you all doing? Revving up to redline, bouncing, and dropping the clutch?
Once you get the tecnique down you can do it easily on almost any bike. I got on a GSXR 600 the other day and could easily bring third up with a little clutch and a bounce, and if you just stand up and clutch second it comes right up, and that bike had stock gearing. Its all about practice and getting the tecnique down
