Becoming A Pro At Crashing The 12

for the love of god, what am i doing wrong. i just can't get this freakin trick down. i've scraped tail. i've scraped the bar. but mostly ive scraped my knees, hands, head, side cov ers, plasics, beaver bob's race track. i was readin all the posts and took the bar off, figurin that my two bad crashes were related to hittin the bar wrong. after talkin with you guys at psychofest and watchin everyone do the sickest trials **** on street bikes, my focus was back...i'm gonna learn this trick. i never knew about pullin the clutch in. i tried a few times but let it out in the 12, wow that ends up bad.
so last thurs. me and my team are at beaver springs practicing..i am riding the best ones i ever did. side note i put the bar back on. i decide i'm gonna go for it. de ja freakin vu ....whap bam boom side to side all over the place. my bike is f'd. my cage cracked my frame at the motor mount and my confidence is f'n shot. i'm tryin soooooooo hard. i'm getting better at popping it right up to the balance point , i'm riding the brake but still goin tooo fast and too squirelly. should i just stick to feet down burnouts.help. help help. help . please.

Ya i know what you mean....but i swear it will just be easy one day. Just keep tryen..youll get it ...i get myself all worked up about a trick and it just does no good. Best advice ive heard is try something else for a bit..a different trick. Cross training tricks really helps out overall.

like dlish said check your tire pressure i run between 15-20 psi it really makes a difference. Keep with it 12's are by far the hardest trick I ever learned how to do. Go at your own pace just try to learn how to ride them slow before you scrape once you slow them down hitting the bar or tail is alot easier. YOU WILL GET FRUSTRATED

hopefully this weekend at stuntfest someone will help me out.

i too feel the pain of the non-12'ing 929

i think loc tite might be the answer

the other day at work one of the mechanics wanted to see what it felt like to 12. so we flipped it up on the bar. it wouldn't stay and i saw that the bolts holding my subframe were all super loose and it was movin. today was the first day i had good feeling in my broken thumb so i tore my bike apart and tried to repair damages from my last crash. same f'n thing all my subframe bolts were out again! when i crashed i was ridin out the scrape a few feet before disaster. i think my subframe is moving all over the place and making it get squirrely. anyhow i'm gonna loc tite em. also found out why i'm goin through brake pads like a mother today, warped rotors. my bike is rapidly becoming a piece of ****'

There is no doubt that the 12oclock is not simply a trick but conversion tool used to quickly turn that nice sportbike into a lump of Shiaaat. Wow my gixxer has seen better days.
Goddamn 12'z....

Man I was at the same point a few days ago, a little freaked from the first 12 crash, but the last few days I have been going at it and although no scraping yet I am back to where I was b4 I went down. Just keep at it man. Its all about practice and overcoming obstacles. Just keep thinking about the day when you get em on lock !!! Cuz if you keep at it, that day will come.
Cheers
