Oil Leak

I bought a 2001 GSXR750 that had gone down on its left side. The engine cover had some serious road rash on it and i noticed it leaks 1 drop of oil every few hours. Would buying a new engine cover fix this problem or is it something much more involved. Thanks

Re: Oil Leak

where is it leaking from??? if its leaking from the rash put some quicksteel on it... if its leaking from the gasket, buy a new gasket....

Re: Oil Leak

yeah take it off, clean the hell out of it with brake cleaner then mush some quick steal into the crack.. problem solved. buying a new cover with gasket is the clean easy way though.
