Oil leak TL1000S

I bought this 97 TL1000S with 12k miles on the clock.

It runs great, only problem is an oil leak comming from the clutch cover(oil file side.)

So my friend who is a fairly good mechanic takes off the cover and replaces the gasket (rubber o-ring) and the damn thing is still leaking. His step dad checked the cover and said he didn't see any defects. His step dad has worked on every type of car know to man not to mention boats and airplanes. He said he didnt think it was warped but it is possible, I guess.

Any suggestions?????? Should I just try and find another cover?

If I didn't have a shaved head, I would be pulling my hair out.

Anyway, thanks for any ideals...

standy is a decent person
the stock (plastic) cover on that bike is garbage...replace it with one from Yoshimura, and your leak will go away......I made a stock one not leak, but lots of hondabond 4 was required along with the o-ring.

Okay, i checked the web site and couldn't find any thing for the TL as far as parts. Just the GIX 600 and 750.

Where and when did you guys get yours? Do they still make them?

I will try my local Suzuki dealer Friday, but if you guys can advise any more details, let me know.

Thanks again.

If you lay the cover on something flat you can tell if it's warped.
