Which HB adapter to use?

So, my FZ1 has the resevoir connector that you turn out a 1/4 turn, and it pulls out. It's not the teardrop shaped one w/ the little screw, like my R1. Is my FZ1 like the 636? Any info will be appreciated.

Re: Which HB adapter to use?

636 have the circlip and o-ring, and once the circlip is removed it comes right out, no 1/4 turn needed...

hmmm, post a pic if you can...

im sure either FullThrottleInc has one for you OR you MIGHT have to find a different master that is compatible and bolts up that is more common and has an adapter made for it already...

post a pic and we'll go from there...

no problem

hit me with a PM when you have the pic i case i miss you posting it here... im sure we (SL and FullThrottleInc) can hook it up.... oh and FullThrottleInc has the best adapters BY FAR, they screw in so its permanent, no flex, no loss of pressure going from HB to foot and back to HB...

Re: Which HB adapter to use?

to me it LOOKS like the same setup as 636... but its hard to tell from that pic...

if yours has a circlip holding the fitting in i eould say most likely it is the same as 636...

Re: Which HB adapter to use?

Yeah.......no circlip. The fitting just turns a 1/4 turn and comes out. Should I take the elbow fitting out and try to get a pic of inside the bore?

hmmmm... if it doesnt have the circlip and does this 1/4 turn thing, i doubt its the same as a 636 and i doubt a 636 adapter would work...

yeah a pic of the bore would help but i would def reccommend calling Bill... i left you his shop number in a PM...

i know that the newer R6's that have a brembo rear master require you to use an older R6 master... maybe an older (pre-brembo) R6 master would work for you...i know bill makes the adapter for those...

I do have a 12,000 sq/ft shop but its not a bike shop, Its my dads cabinet door manufacturing company. Been working there since I dropped out of high school at 17....I have space there that I use to work on my bikes, Ive actually got 7 bikes there right now and 4 5o's....And the area is all industrial and filled with welders, machine shops, powder coaters, anodizers, etc etc. So I can get alot of things done, and being a CNC programmer myself I know alot about what it takes to make things...Bikes will always be for fun thou, Id love to work on bikes for a living but I dont see that happening. Especially because of where I live, the bike market here sucks and theres just not enough people around here willing to spend money on this kinda stuff. Bike shops here have been closing down on the regular, its pretty sad even dealers are closing down...

I still have a bunch of adaptors left, if you want I could mail you one for a couple of bucks. Then you could just have it welded on...Or if you have access to a lathe you can turn one up very easily
