REMOVING TANk

Hey I want to remove my tank on my 99 r6, im not sure what I have to do before removing it. soo I have a few questions
1. Where is the fuel petcock located?
2. What lines do I need to disconnect inorder to remove my tank, and where are they located?

16 and learning all this **** thanks in advance for the help

I don't know if it's the same but the petcock on my 00 R1 was at the very bottom of the tank kind of in front of the rear suspension.

take the front seat off...take the bolt out of the back of the tank..then the two on the front of the tank... disconnect the 2 over flow lines...and then unplug the fuel light (its a green plug) then diconnect the fuel line and your done...the petcock is in the bottom of the tank...oh yeah turn the gass off before u take the gas line off.

Could someone explain how to do this, my bike didn't come with and owners manual how do I disconnect the fuel lines? And where do I shut off the gas? I wanna get these plugs changed thx.

turn the valve off on the bottom of the tank....to take the gas line off just undo the clamp and pull it off.

And you'll need winrar to open it. If you dont have that you can go to www.downloads.com and search and download it. Thats like winzip. Good luck.
