Red face 2000 F4

I have an F4 also and have recently ordered a set of sprockets and chain. If your chain is not new I suggest you get a new one if you are planning on getting new sprockets.

I went -1 +2, why? Well that was the advice from the guys on this site. PapaKev said he did -1 and it didn't make that much of a difference.

I am waiting for the chain/sprockets to come in but I got the bike ready. Right now I can ride out standups in 1st till redline, stock gearing. I will let you know as soon as I get the chain/sprockets on what a diference it is, but I'm sure someone from this site will let you know.

About losing top end... Check out this spreadsheet I found. It will give you a theoretical idea of how much top end you will lose. You need the gearing info from your owner's manual. If you need help with the spreadsheet let me know.

You can use this for any bike.

Question Chain Length

Well I don't know if you will have enough links to do +2.

The kit I got cost $158 from www.parts411.com, they said it's on the way, so we'll see.

Hey buddy I just started stunting my F4. Did a +2 in the rear with a 520 RK chain kit. Big enough difference for me and I would go more for the ***** n giggles of more low end but it would start to be too much of a trade-off as I love my top end to blow away the popo . Besides that just riding highway around 100 I don't want my engine wining out and eating gas. I also heard one down in the front may cause more chain wear.

One thing you might wanna check out is a video calle dsomething like pimpin six huns. It's got about a dozen 600s geared crazy. but they can pull some hot stuff.
