nope, it's all about brake control. gearing just helps get more torque to the wheel but it makes it more twitchy.

I'm 1 down 5 up on my 929. i'd say go 1 down in the front and just pick a random number to start with in the rear. maybe like 1 down 5 up or something and see how that goes. maybe some guys with your bike could give some help

www.parts411.com sells some nice cheap chains. they have a standard DID chain (what i use) with like 120 links for 31$. not a bad deal for a stunt bike. and they sell sprocket specilist sprockets any size you want.

thanks,
i'm down1 on the front and up 2 on the rear now. if i go any more on the rear would i need to get a new chain ?
did goin up 5 change your top end much ?
i can do slow stuff on my 400ex, but that is alot different than the gixxer. is it all about the brake ?

ya, you'll need a new chain. I bought one from parts411.com for 31$. it's a standard 530 did chain and it's really nice. for a stunt bike that doesn't see a lot of miles there is no need for an 80$ oring chain.

my top end changed a little...i'm not sure because my guages are messed up and read kilometers nad stuff sometimes. plus i never really top it out to see, i try to stay under speed limit. slow stuff is hwere it's at. I know 140km on my guages is about 72mph oh my friend's r6.

i think my speedo is like 20mph off, but if yours measures off hte front tire then you won't have a problem. i wouldn't worry about top end, you won't really notice the difference from 140-160...or at lesat you shouldn't be up that high.
