Re: 04 636 problems

first thing first make sure your over flow is hooked up,kawis run hot with out an overflow bottle and make sure your fan works and then check to make sure the coolant is flowing through your radiator to make sure it;s not clogged

Re: 04 636 problems

All the things old man roger suggested. Plus an aftermarket racing coolant like, Engine ice or Liquid performance will help lower you a few degrees. May sound dumb but check that your water pump is engaed correctly if you ever had the whole assy (cover impeller seal out) . Most bikes use a slot in the back of the shaft that needs engaged corrclty.

Re: 04 636 problems

run it u to 200 degrees F with the radiator cap off, you prolly have a few air bubbles from just pouring in the coolant/anttifreeze.. by running it with thwe cap off it will bleed the system of air and keep the cap off while it cools then top it off and throw the cap back on. problem solved.. if it continues to over heat remove your thermostat and soak it in coke. for a day or two... this will eat off contamination on the metal... or u can just buy a new thermostat.

also make sure the lower small radiator hose under the cap runs to the back of the motor and not to the over flow bottle. the hose closest to the cap goes to the over flow.
