CBR929 problems

What I need help with is at first my headlight went out, but the bulbs are good, can hard wire to work. Second, my battery will not stay charged. Then, fuel pump sometimes will not turn on. Now the white connector plug that connects the stator to the regulator shorted out. I replaced the regulator, main harness wiring.

I guess I am looking for a short somewhere but I replaced the wiring harness I thought that would have fixed the problem.

Please help!!!

Re: CBR929 problems

Just plugged regulator in and started the bike. The three yellow wires from the stator and the regulator were really hot after only few minutes of having the bike running.

?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ??????????????

Re: CBR929 problems

stator is probably shot.........had similiar probs with my 929 changed stator and regulator and problem gone
my bikes symptoms where that
1-the clock would always restart
2-battery would die(even new ones would last a few days only)
3-headlight would flicker
bottom line is if your bike is on you should be able to disconnect the battery and the bike should continue to run...if not probably stator or rectifier
good luck!!!
