Well my stator cover was all rashed up cause i bought my bike wrecked. So i just changed it today and i rode it for awhile then my battery went dead. So is the stator wire shorted or did my battery just go dead for some other random reason?

opened up the stator cover two wires were ripped.. any ideas on if i can can put them back together and how to install it properly?
