Re: vortex gas cap leaking

Try to find a little bit thicker o ring that will fit in there. Usually solves the problem.

Re: vortex gas cap leaking

like the cap doesn't even let my tank vent sometimes i take the lid off and it pops out cuz its under pressure, is anyone else havin venting issues?
thats prolly why the gas is raising and tryin to get out around the lid

Re: vortex gas cap leaking

if you take the cap off, you should see a little 2mm allen screw on the base. that is your vent. loosen that sxrew a turn or take it completely out. also I used quicksteel around the entire base of mine, then covered the tank and base with tech-spec. havent had a problem since.

Re: vortex gas cap leaking

thanks t-neck, i figured the screw would help the cap vent, i'll take it out and then do the tank in seal-all,
the gas won't leak up through that vent if i take the screw completly out will it?

Re: vortex gas cap leaking

just take out the little screw like t-neck said and then just by some gasket paper at any auto parts store and cut out a new gasket to go under the base of the cap....

taking out the little screw may actually do the trick because with out pressure in the tank it may not leak at all
