Dirtbike stunting...
OK, I've been practicing on and off for the past week with wheelying my 2000 rm125. I can power it up in 1st, and bounce it in 2nd. I can do standup/sitting. But, when I power it up, I can ge the front fender right before my eye, but then it feels like its gonna loop, but anyways, no matter how hard I roll on the throttle, it comes back down. Any advice? BTW, the bike is using a 49 or 50 tooth sprocket in the rear (instead of the stock 48).
just technique. since it's a dirt bike take it out on the grass or something and pull the rear fender off and duct tape up the back of the seat area so it doesn't get ripped. then get it higher and higher eventually trying to catch it from looping w/ the rear brake, but don't trip out on trying not to loop it out. I bet you think it's going to loop but it's not even close if it comes back down.
also use the clutch to pop it up from nearly a dead stop so you can keep it out of power band when actually riding the wheelie...and it'll be going slower if you do loop.
the ultimate objective is to be able to clutch it up and hold the throttle somewhat steady using the rear brake to control balance point.
you'll crash a few times before you get it...but better do it on a dirt bike than a street bike at speed!
