954 Power loss
954 Power loss
Hello all!!
I have an 02 CBR954rr that i have had since new. Recently the bike was knocked over by the wind during a bad thunderstorm. I am not sure how long the bike stayed on its side. I would guess about 5 hours. I picked the bike up and checked for any type of damage cisibly, which there was none. I started the bike right up with no problems. The bike runs supposedly fine (Says the mech at the honda dealership). Here is the problem, in first gear when the bike is pinned to the stop, it will not loft the front wheel into the air, nor will it do it in second. Up until now, the bike has always done unprovoked wheelies in first and in second. In 3rd off of the clutch and a tug on the bars. The bike has 10,000 miles on it, a bolt on Jardine and no other mods. Always done reg oil changes, and 2 air filters since new. Other than the wind this once, the bike has never been down. I have checked the coils, changed the plugs and also checked the airbox for fluids. None are looking to be the problem. Is there anything else that i am missing? O yeah, the clutches are all good also. Please help.

Re: 954 Power loss
sounds like a coincedense...sounds like your clutch slipping.....and just because there pads still on your clutch fiber plates does not mean your clutch it still good.
