cct make. i have o4 f4i i installed an ape cct after initial adjustment had rattling in the upper rpm say around 6 G's and up so i snugged it up some more. now it whistles, almost like a super charger:YEAH , is this to tight!! i backed it off a few turns and it is still whistles. should i hear anything!!

Mine whistled for a little bit but went away after a few rides.

i would only tighten it enough to stop the rattle.

 

i thought i did that so should i keep backin off till there is no rattle and no whistle. there is no rattle right now just whistle

 

that wistle is a sign of to much tension against the chain guide.. i would suggest backing it off tiny bits at a time till u get it right or you will cause more wear/tear to your chain guide then needed... if you ruin your chain guide its not fun to replace.

you will have most likely have plastic shavings in your oil now 2...

 

didn't really ride it just tached it up in the basement. ok ill mess with it tonight. and check my oil. i just changed it to dang it!!

 

i wouldn't worry about plastic shavings... just change your oil and filter alittle sooner then later...
