i have an 05 600rr that has a motor knock that is coming from the stator thought it was a bearing but just bought another motor off someone reliable they said the motor sounded fine whwn they started it i put the new motor in and have the same knock is there anything i am over lookin that would be causin that sound in two motors?

cam chain tensioner????? alotta times the noise will transfer thru the case and sound somewhere else than they are. I had rod bearings go out, but could swear the noise was coming from the valves or cams.

I had a similar "Tick" on my f4i motor and both 600rr motors and replaced the stock cct with an APE manual cam chain tensioner and it eliminated the sound and made the motor run smoother and without the worry of the stocker getting stuck and letting the cam chain jump timing.

Try that....$50 from APE and it might be what you need....more than likely is.

 

maybe its in the injector pulse timming try changing the ecu and throttle bodies to the ones that came with the motor.

 

it's not an oil problem got that down

 

i did change everthing over the motor i got had complete wiring harness and ecu injectors air box everthing.

 

already checked the cam chain and tensioner but will check again thanx

 

may be you bought a motor that has a bad bearing also.....

why did he take the 05 motor out and sell it in the first place

 

he bought the motor for a spare in his girl friends bike but didn't have a need for it so sold it to me

 

Give him back his and buy my 06 motor with 800 miles...it will solve all your problems...
