636 wont start
Re: 636 wont start
if it starts with starter fluid or ether then its a fuel problem, if your bike has a fuel cut off make sure its open and not shut(my friend decided to be a ***** and shut it on me once, took me like 5 minutes before i figured it out.) oh and dont start it with ether anymore its bad for your engine!!! and if its not that then the only other thing i can think of is if your bike has a fuel pump it might be bad or the fuse for the pump(i work on cars not bikes so im not sure if some bikes have fuel pumps) or the fuel filter might be clogged. but anyway an engine car bike lawn mower whatever needs 3 things to run air, spark, and fuel so if you have spark, and provided that you dont have anything blocking the air ducts its a fuel problem.
Re: 636 wont start
that dude is right about fuel air and spark, since you have spark it narrows it down a bit. fuel is an easier problem i think then spark so check out the pump. don't pull thepum and test it though, always test with it on the bike. pumps turn into bombs when you take them out.
Re: 636 wont start
happens to every 636 with a dented tank ********. water is heavier then gas and the water sits at the bottom on the tank and gets sucked up by the fuel pump... .. water can easliy get into a tank through the vent under the cap.
Re: 636 wont start
relax brutha ...lol
mine has a dented tank and i leave it it the rain all the time ..
if you get water in your gas from rain then the vent tube is probably kinked or clogged in some way because that area around the filler hole is for draining water and overflow and releiving pressure
