I do my best to get all the wir out of my res before putting the cap on (i press down on the diaphram)... so far no problem with brakes dragging or brake fade...

I do this cause i hate when there is an air bubble that, between 12's and stoppies (that's a lot of back and forth movement) that the air bubble works its way into the line and towards the master... i can mount my res's perfectly straight and even if i could i still would manage to get the air up there...

so i guess what im saying is im screwed no matter what i do... LOL

Re: Hand Brake & Front Brake off 1 res..........

Ok I figured out why I have a 1 pump lag, its because I do not run a return spring on my rear brake...So the 1 pump is because the rear masters piston doesnt get pushed all the way back untill I pull the HB....So when I pull the HB it pushes the rear master piston back up till it bottoms out then I get full pressure....If I use the foot brake and just go to HB it goes in a little the first pull(as it pushes the RM piston back), but if I push the foot brake lever up before going to the HB there is no pump up....

I dont like the feel of the OEM return spring but Im going to add one and see if I can get used to it...

There was no air at all

i think i under stand that you are putting on the diaphram and pushing down on it to displace the air in the resivour .....

if so this is a good idea because by pushing down on the diaphram you are making it so there is room for the fluid to expand when its hot

And as far as changing it... I never flush mine out completley but every few weeks I'll crack it open and give it a few pumps.

Re: Hand Brake & Front Brake off 1 res..........

My setups only need one pump up, meaning if your on the foot brake the first pull on the HB will be a little soft, but as soon as you go for a second pull its at full pressure....

THIS WAS HAPPENING TO ME WITH MY FULL THROTTLE ADAPTER KIT BUT IM RUNNING A RES FROM THE REAR BRAKE SYSTEM OFF A F4I........ NOW IM RUNNING HOHEY DUAL CALIPER AND THE SAME RES AND NO MORE PUMP SOLID FROM THE GET GO............. SO IF I GO WITH THE BREMBO 15CC RES IM GOING TO HAVE TO PUMP IT A LITTLE BEFORE IT GETS SOLID???????????

The 1 pump had noting to do with the Brembo RES, if you read the posts I figured out it was because I dont have a return spring on my rear brake....
