As long as your res has a diaphram and you top up the fluid and dont let the diaphram max out, it doenst matter how big or small it is...

what is your feeling on using a flexible clear line with the end crimped, as the res?

Ok for rear on a race bike as they dont use the rear brake much, not good for a stuntbike or front brakes IMO....I had that on my rear brake on my street R6, when I started 12ing that bike I lost the rear brake compleltey and almost ate **** hard....

You need a diaphram to take up the air space as your pads wear down and the fluid level drops.....Also when you get on the brakes the res gets presuraized for a second before the piston passes the res port....Even air in your res makes a difference in pump up, I over fill my res cups before I put the cap on. This makes the system work the best with the least amout of pump up needed.....

My setups only need one pump up, meaning if your on the foot brake the first pull on the HB will be a little soft, but as soon as you go for a second pull its at full pressure....

You really shouldn't need any pumps at all.. Mine and I know Old Man Rogers as well require none

Maybe you dont get what Im saying, even Bill at FT says the same....No matter how good you are at bleeding there will always be a tiny amount of air in the system....

going from the foot brake to the HB the first pull has like %95 power, then by the 2nd pull its at %100....Doesnt get any better then that...The difference it so minimal its only noticable to me, anyone else says its the same **** 1st or 2nd pull...

Bill at Fullthrottleinc.net says if the air is completely bled out of your system your handbrake will be on point first pull.

you have air in your system..............

there is a full line on your resivour for a reason over filling your resivour can cause brake faid because your brakes can drag when the fluid gets hot and expands ,unless you have air in you system.....

I sat there for 10 minutes last night, switching between the hb and fb (bike not moving) and no matter how hard I look, i dont see a 5% (or any) difference between the first pump and the second. Thats on my bike, with a rear master that your guy welded up.

Then I tried it on my friends bike with a gptech+hoseclamp. Yes, definitely noticable difference between first and second pump. Not a big difference, but its there. Im gonna try out one of my secret bleeding maneuvers on his tonight to see if I can make a difference.

I was pretty certain we had another thread goin a while ago where you and Teach through in your 2 cents on bleeding, maybe I got it mixed up and Teach was the one that said they always work like that(tiny amout of air)....He runs your setup and we pretty much agreed on the subject.....

Im going to try and get some more air out, but the last bleed I did there was nothing but fluid comming out...So I dont know if its gonna get any better then it already is, but who knows bubbles tend to loosen up after I ride the bike...

And every setup Ive put togther is so different I can really compare them, some use FT masters some stock, and all differnt front masters....
