I recently replaced my non charging stator and rectifier on my 98 srad. Everything seems to be charging fine at 13.5v. Now I did the a search for the hot wires and connectors on the rectifier but all of those searches said the rectifier wasnt charging or it was over charging. Now my question is, even though my bike seems to be charging correctly, should I worry about the wires and connector being super hot? I mean really hot to the touch, If I get close enuff I can even smell it!! What should I do about it?

Like I said I did the seach but couldnt find anything quite like my problem. If it's been explained before please forgive me and send me the link. O yeah brand new batt too.Thanks in advance!!

 

the rectifier turns unwanted/needed charge into heat. since u got all that new **** maybe your charging system is kick *** now.
