Engine Vibrations

So ever sense i can remember, my bike has shaked like a SOB when ever you pass 3000 rpm...lately it has been getting really bad; so much that when im on the freeway going about 90 at 6k, i can hear rattles(i think its my cage), my hands fatigue really quick, and my passengers bitch bitch bitch. i dont care about the discomfort, i am concerned that i need to do some preventative maintenance before my motor craps out. any suggestions what i could do to get rid of the shaking?
