spinning tires
spinning tires
I've been practicing my 2nd gear clutch up wheelies on my 954, and about half of the tries I fail to get it up high because the back tire spins. I have the shitty stock Bridgestones on there and I figure I need to drop the back tire pressure a bit. It's at about 36psi right now. Does anyone have recommendations on what psi it should be at to keep the back tire from spinning? I plan to get some Metz soon, and hopefully it will eliminate some spinning.
how are you doing htat in second? warm your tires up by riding some more, definately drop psi....i run 20psi and it works great and it doesn't get too squishy for the highway.
you are probably dumping the clutch hard..you want to let it out fast, but don't dump it, and make sure that rear tire has been warmed up. Lean back and lock your elbows also...if you have too much forward weight that will cause the rear to break loose also.
