Yup, lesson learned. Dent tank ON bike. Countless hours of bondo/sanded put to waste, lol...

so i dented my extra tank last week, and it came out so good it doesn even need a new paintjob.. its just straight smooth! i dented the backsection of the cap down, and worked my way back and out. not too the front. no volcanojob, no big bowl like yours, not an otown.. just a nice dent. i'll make a pic..

sand and re bondo, the only way to go, unless the bondo is lifting from under neath, you gotta chip out all of the old **** or else the new bondo will never set....make sense?? ie: say you've dented in your tank and put a hole in the tank, I have had gas seep its way through, thus lift the bondo off of the metal tank.....JBWELD
