this happens when it runs on 12 or falls on its side. will the airbox mod fix this or not?

Re: why is oil coing out over flow pipe?

are you shure it's oil? seems stupid but once I got coolant leak from overflow pipe, and I mistaken it for oil on the pavement and was confused until I saw from what pipe it went out...

Re: why is oil coing out over flow pipe?

alright since you are not gonna answer how much extra oil you are putting in your bike i will just assume you are putting in too much .....

just fill it a little past the top of the sight glass when the bike is up straight on level ground and this problem should go away

Re: why is oil coing out over flow pipe?

if it's below the top of the site glass and your still getting oil in your air box then you might have some serious blow by because f4i's don't usually have this problem....

or may be it was oil in the air box from over filling it in the past if so clean out your air box and set your oil level at the top of the window and if that doesn't stop the problem then you have blow by [worn out piston rings]

Re: why is oil coing out over flow pipe?

f4is are kinda known for flooding the oil box when they fall on the left side for to long.. which is why they hydro lock up.. so if ya dropped it, it probly filled up that way..

Re: why is oil coing out over flow pipe?

yea, if it falls to the left oil can get into the airbox. But I thought it had to be pretty much inverted on the left side for it to fill?
