Doesnt necessarily mean the fuel pump is good. 2 of my bad ones will work when grounded like that but were still not functioning properly.

no i was walkin him through it in another thread. The fuel pump not priming is a symptom of 99% of electrical problems on f4i's. If the starter turns over, the next thing you check is the R/W wire that comes from the positive battery cable. Follow that up to the two relays, then the brown wire from there goes directly to the fuel pump. In his case today, the red wire was loose, right by the battery.

alright got it all back together tuesday night, had it running then wired the headlight and went to bed. been outta town since then went to ride yesterday and bike wont prime agai checked everything i would have touched for the light and nothing. bought a new batt cuz my other one was weak, and now i got a voltage meter but it dosen't help that i have no idea how to work it but it appears taht im not getting power to the plug

 

you probably did it while hooking up the light and didnt you just add a ground wire last time ....im not going back and re reeading this hole thread but my geuss is it's some thing you did hahahaha

 

yamy guess too...and last time i forgot to hook up the red wire back in the subframe
