636 swingarm help

636 swingarm help

I'm having problems trying to get the needle bearings installed in my lower swingarm. part#92046, and also the sleeve part#42036 that goes through the needle bearing. Is there a certain tool that I need to install these. O yeah bike the bike is a 03 636

yeah its called a PRESS...

swing arms are dirt cheap and the bearings have a low failure rate... why would u evan waste your time with replacing bearings when u can buy a practicly new swing arm for 30$

picked up a new swingarm for 40 bucks and bolted it in. Wheeliest is on point here.

don't have to replace bearings because it got powder coated...

The heat from the oven sometimes damages the bearing cages to install new bearing will be hard with out the tool. The tool will support the bearing by fitting tightly on the inside and having a small lip that only hit the out side if I could not get a tool from the dealer I would have one made at a machine ship it shold be simple on a lathe just take the swing arm and tell them what you want to do hope I helped

Those needle/roller bearing use a plastic retainer, that plastic retainer would melt in the powder coating oven....

You dont need a press I dont have one and Ive done 10+ swing arm bearing swaps....You need the correct size bearin/seal driver and some precise tapping with a hammer, or you can even use a socket that is the same size dia as the bearings.....
